On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

FairBridge Hotels International has announced Rajiv Bhatia as its new CEO. Prior to his appointment, Bhatia served as leader of the Knights Inn brand at Wyndham Hotel Group. Throughout the last decade, he was responsible for brand operations, property openings, design and development, franchise services, quality assurance, training, development financing, and marketing.

Here’s a look at other notable comings and goings that took place this week:

Atlanta-based Hotel Equities recently promoted President Brad Rahinsky to the position of president and CEO. Fred Cerrone, founder of the firm, retains the position of chairman.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has appointed SiuYin Ko as corporate director of sales. She will provide leadership and strategic direction for Rosewood’s North American regional sales organization. SiuYin will also establish a new regional office in San Francisco, and will focus on establishing key business partnerships and elevating brand awareness in the region.

Mainsail Lodging & Development has promoted Evelyn Avazier and Wanda Sanchez to corporate director of training and corporate director of human resources, respectively. Avazier’s new responsibilities will include pre-opening hiring and training for new hotels, along with ongoing training for Mainsail’s existing hotel portfolio. Sanchez will manage all human resource functions outside of training.

The Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina has announced that Tim Hermann will join the hotel’s leadership as general manager. Hermann brings over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry.

Hotel Key West at Stock Island announced Michael Hartman as managing director of the new-build, 100-room hotel. This appointment expands his current role as general manager of Stock Island Marina Village to include overseeing the upscale, full-service hotel, which is slated for an early 2017 opening.

Sofitel Singapore City Centre announces the appointment of Freddy See as director of sales and marketing. In his new role, he will be responsible for all matters pertaining to sales at the flagship property of Sofitel Hotels & Resorts in Singapore.

Harri, a digital platform designed to help the hospitality industry source, hire, and manage employees, has appointed Ralf Hirt, as COO. Hirt’s chief focus is to drive operational and financial performance, and lead the company’s efforts to foster a global footprint.

Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport has appointed Dustin Imbesi as the director of sales and marketing for the Burlingame hotel. With 12 years of experience within the Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Imbesi is responsible for all sales operations for the 789-room property.

Twenty Four Seven Hotels, a U.S.-based hospitality management company, has announced the appointment of Alison Sansone to the position of vice president of marketing and communications. Sansone brings more than 20 years of marketing and identity strategy experience to the growing brand. Her role as brand strategist will be embedded in the newly formed department, with an emphasis on communications
