On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

Vantage Hospitality has announced two new appointments in an effort to expand the Canadas Best Value Inn brand. Arun Deo, president of South Pacific Management Marketing Services, has been named an authorized development director in the West. He will work with his son, Anusheel Deo, vice president of South Pacific Management. Glen Blake, chief executive officer of Full House Hospitality Services, will develop the brand in the Eastern provinces of Canada. He will work alongside Rick Keene, vice president of development for Full House Hospitality.

Here are a few more job moves that occurred this week:

Hotel Equities has promoted accountant Kathy Taudte to the role of corporate controller of the firm. Holding more than 30 years of experience in her field, she has been with Hotel Equities for three years.

Noah Brodsky has been appointed senior vice president, worldwide loyalty and engagement, at Wyndham Hotel Group. He previously worked as the company’s vice president of worldwide loyalty.

The Marquette, A Hilton Hotel announced the appointment of Sally Ableitner as the director of sales and marketing. She most recently worked at the DoubleTree by Hilton St. Paul and Rival House, where she served as director of sales and marketing.

Following an 18-month hiatus, Grier Todd has returned to Lake Lanier Islands Resort to take on the role of vice president of operations. Formerly the chief operating officer, he has been with the company for more than 12 years.

John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts announced two additions to its corporate leadership team. Bill George has returned to the company as vice president of capital planning and asset management. He most recently worked as vice president of design and construction for Chatham Lodging Trust. Patrick Blache has taken on the position of corporate senior director of information technology. He previously served as director of technical services for Catholic Health Initiatives.

The William Vale hotel has announced the appointment of Mark Speranza as the director of sales and marketing. With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, he recently served as director of memberships at Club Quarters.

Heidi Nielsen has been promoted to vice president of HVS. She joined the company in 2006, and is considered the Carolinas/Georgia Coast expert.

Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa has named Zan Miller the new director of revenue management and Greg Schneider the new manager of sales overseeing the Midwestern market. Miller previously worked as director of revenue management at the Omni Grove Park Inn. Schneider joins Omni from Lakeway Resort, where he served as director of group sales.

One Ocean Resort & Spa has announced the promotion of Jeanne Bothwell to director of sales and marketing. She was previously the associate director of sales.
