On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

The Hotel Group announced the promotion of Joanne Headrick to vice president of hotel accounting. Headrick has been with THG for the past 11 years, most recently serving as senior operations controller.

Here’s a look at other exciting job moves that took place this week:

Jim Haughney has been appointed general manager of Waterstone Resort & Marina, Curio—A Collection by Hilton. Haughney is a 20-year hospitality veteran, most recently serving as vice president of operations with Orange Lakes Resorts in Florida.

The Skirvin Hilton Hotel has named Mike Wimmer as its fifth artist-in-residence. Wimmer, an accomplished illustrator and painter from Oklahoma, will work from the hotel’s studio space for one year to showcase his work.

Lightstone, a national real estate investor and developer, announced the appointment of Greg Iannacone as a director of hotel development. Iannacone will be responsible for hotel pre-development and development, overseeing operations, design, and construction and land development. Prior to joining Lightstone, Iannacone was the technical director at Faithful+Gould, Inc., where he was responsible for project management on both private hospitality and commercial works programs.

UNICO Hotel Riviera Maya has appointed Christian Bravo as executive chef of Cueva Siete. Bravo comes to UNICO Hotel Riviera Maya with more than 11 years of industry experience, previously serving as lead menu curator for the presidential banquet surrounding the meeting of George W. Bush and Felipe Calderón, personal chef for French President, Nicholas Sarkozy.

Following a multi-million dollar renovation completed this fall, Sonesta ES Suites Oklahoma has named Mark Dunnweber general manager of the Sonesta ES Suites Oklahoma City property. In this role, Dunnweber will be tasked with overseeing the daily operational activities of the property and its staff of the newly reimagined property.

Alexandru Zekany has been appointed general manager of food and beverage outlets at Pelican Grand Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale. Zekany has nearly a decade of experience in the industry and in his new role he will oversee all food and beverage operations.

The InterContinental San Francisco has appointed Keith Hansen as wine director and beverage manager. In his new role, Hansen is responsible for all aspects of the hotel’s beverage program from the Michelin starred restaurant Luce and Bar 888 to rooms and banquets for the 550-room property. Hansen is a Court of Master Sommeliers certified sommelier and Cicerone Certified beer server with over 15 years of experience in the restaurant industry.

Greg Hopton-Jones has been appointed director of sales at Hotel Indigo Tuscaloosa Downtown. With nearly a decade of hospitality experience, Hopton-Jones most recently served as the group sales manager at Hilton Birmingham where he was recognized as a “Top Achiever” at the Interstate Annual Sales Conference in 2015.
