On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

Gary Fritz has been appointed chief growth officer and president, Asia Pacific at TripAdvisor. Fritz held a variety of senior executive roles at Expedia Inc. from 2003 to 2012, when TripAdvisor was part of Expedia. From 2008 to 2012, Fritz served as president of the Partner Services Group for Expedia, where he led Expedia’s commercial activity and strategy on a global basis.

Here’s a look at other notable comings and goings that took place this week:

Keith Bongirno has joined LandDesign as director of planning and landscape architecture. Bongirno will play a key role in LandDesign’s strategic vision to create artistic and creative places by developing the firm’s emerging Destinations practice.

The Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, N.H., has announced the appointment of John Santaniello as managing director. With over 25 years of experience in the hotel and ski resort industry, Santaniello will oversee all operations of the resort.

The Gettys Group has promoted Jerry Zeitner to chief operating officer. Zeitner is celebrating his 20-year anniversary with the firm, beginning as a project manager of a Holiday Inn Express in Smyrna, Ga.

Hilton Waikoloa Village has appointed 30-year veteran David Givens to the position of general manager. In his new role, Givens will oversee the operations of the 1,240-room oceanfront resort.

Sagamore Pendry Baltimore has announced the appointment of David Hoffman as general manager. With over 20 years of experience within luxury hotel management and operations, Hoffman will oversee all operations of Pendry Hotels’ first East Coast property, developed in collaboration with Sagamore Development Company.

DoubleTree Resort by Hilton, Myrtle Beach Oceanfront, formerly Springmaid Beach Resort, in Myrtle Beach, S.C., has announced the appointment of Joanna Patterson-Rizkallah as the resort’s director of sales and marketing. Her new role will include shaping and executing all sales and marketing strategies for group and leisure markets, developing new programs to maximize opportunities and exceed revenue goals, management of the public relations and advertising initiatives of the resort, and overseeing the performance management, coaching, recruiting, and selection of the sales team.

Four Seasons Resort, The Biltmore Santa Barbara has appointed executive chef Marco Fossati. Fossati began his career with Four Seasons 18 years ago, previously serving at East Palo Alto as executive chef for six years.

Sean Hadley has been appointed general manager at AC Hotel San Jose Downtown, Calif. Hadley joins AC Hotel with 10 years of hospitality management and operational experience. In this new role, Hadley will oversee all aspects of operations.
