On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

IHG’s Americas CEO Elie Maalouf has been appointed to the newly created Foreign Direct Investment Advisory Council by the Commerce Department, being the only hotel executive to be named in the group of 19 members.

Here is a look at more notable comings and goings that took place this week:

Hunter Hotel Advisors has announced that David Perrin will be rejoining its investment team after leaving in 2015 to join InterContinental Hotels Group as a business development manager. Perrin will rejoin the Atlanta investment sales team as a vice president and will be involved with all aspects of the company’s hotel brokerage and capital market advisory services.

Vanessa Claspill will be joining the team at the new Line Hotel Austin—the former Radisson Hotel. Claspill will be taking on the role of regional director of sales and marketing. In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of direct sales and property marketing for the current Radisson Hotel and Suites Austin, and will work closely with the creative and developments team.

Nicole Sinclair has been appointed general manager for Faena Hotel Miami Beach. Sinclair is a 20-year hospitality and hotel management veteran, previously serving as vice president of human resources, talent, and culture for Faena District Miami Beach.

Remington Hotels has named Beverly Fox-Crismond as director of spas, overseeing all luxury spas in the hotel collection. With over 25 years of experience in spa management, Fox-Crismond will be responsible for the training and developing of the spa teams, as well as creating and implementing business processes and executing new spa openings.

Bill Cottrill has been promoted general manager at Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel. Cottrill has been with the property for 18 years, previously serving as chief managing officer.

Sarah Praglowski will join Lansdowne Resort and Spa as pastry chef. In her new role, she will oversee all dessert operations from developing to supervising the bakery.

Jane Blake has been promoted to chief human resources officer for Interstate Hotels & Resorts. Blake will oversee all aspects of human resources management and development for Interstate’s 30,000 associates, servicing hotel owners and hotel staff relevant to operations, talent acquisition and development, labor, and associate relations.

Conrad Chicago, the 20-story property scheduled to open this August, has announced the appointment of James Lintelmann as executive chef of both Baptiste & Bottle and Noyane. In this role, Lintelmann will be responsible for overseeing both culinary venues and working closely with the Sandoval team to carefully create menus.

The Peninsula Paris has announced the appointment of Anthony Terrone as the new pastry chef. Terrone will be responsible for leading 10 pastry chefs at The Peninsula Paris, with sole responsibility for the creation of pastries at the property.
