On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

Auberge Resorts Collection has named Richard Arnold chief development officer. He previously held positions with PKF Consulting, and co-founded Kadenwood Partners, a real estate investment, capital advisory, and asset management firm, in 2015. Arnold will work alongside chief executive officer Craig Reid and the management team to lead the Auberge Resorts collection growth strategy as well as identify, negotiate, and secure all development projects, including new construction, conversions, expansions, and acquisitions.

Here’s a look at more notable comings and goings that took place this week:

Kerzner International has announced the addition of two members to its regional sales team for the Americas. Jennifer Guevara has been named director, leisure sales, North America for One&Only Resorts Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai, and Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort in Morocco. In this role, Guevara will represent all three brands in the West Coast and Southwest regions, working with luxury leisure agents and agencies to ensure sales goals are achieved. Chris DeVito has been appointed director, group sales, North America and is based in San Diego, Calif. DeVito will be responsible for handling group sales operations, confirming new and repeat business, and developing strong relationships with key corporate association accounts.

Leslie Johnson has been selected as the new spa director at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. Johnson, with 20 years of industry experience, will be responsible for overseeing and creating the overall programming at The Spa at La Costa, which recently unveiled its new treatment menu for 2016.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Colorado Springs has announced the appointment of Cheyenne Motto as director of sales. Motto previously served as director of sales at the historic Antlers Hilton, where she was responsible for a team of six sales and catering managers.

Hotel Equities has named Jemel Jones general manager of the all-new DoubleTree by Hilton DFW Arlington South, in Arlington, Texas. With nearly two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Jones will be responsible for overseeing operations, food and beverage, sales and marketing, and revenue management strategies.

Sarah Smith has been selected as senior sales manager for the Fairmont Austin. Smith joined the Fairmont team in 2009 and has held a variety of positions with the company, including group sales manager at Fairmont Dallas and national sales manager at Fairmont Chicago.

Evolution Hospitality has promoted Kelly Fogarty to director of sales and marketing for Hotel MdR in San Clemente, Calif. Fogarty joined Evolution Hospitality in 2013 as director of sales for The Queen Mary and has held similar positions prior to joining the hospitality management company, with more than 21 years of hospitality sales and marketing experience.

Hyatt Times Square New York has announced Executive Chef Nicholas Pelliccione as director of food and beverage operations. In his new position, Pelliccione will provide vision and oversight for the hotel’s events spaces, restaurants-to-go, and the hotel’s restaurant and lounge.

Scott Spann has been selected to serve as general manager for the new coastal Maine property, Cliff House. In his new role, Spann will oversee all managerial duties for the property’s reopening in July 2016.

Hospitality Management Corporation (HMC) has announced the promotion of Mary Ruth Javier to the newly formed position of corporate director of revenue management. Javier will be responsible for determining revenue and rate structures across all hotels, competitive market intelligence, and ensuring property revenues are maximized.
