On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts named Peter Nowlan executive vice president and chief marketing officer, effective Jan. 20. Nowlan will lead the company’s global sales and marketing team and will work with regional teams to strengthen Four Seasons’ position in the market. He brings 25 years of experience to the role, having most recently worked as chief brand and marketing officer at Tim Hortons Inc. He succeeds Susan Helstab, who after more than 28 years with the company, is retiring.

Here’s a look at more job moves that took place this week:

Wyndham Hotel Group has appointed Kathy Maher senior vice president, global sales and revenue. She recently served as senior vice president of revenue management, and will take on the additional responsibility of crafting sales strategies and guiding a global sales team.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Boston North Shore has named Alon Ben-Gurion its new general manager. He previously served as general manager of the Hilton Westchester in Rye Brook, N.Y.

St. Regis Princeville has appointed Valerie Iwasaki account director of leisure sales. She most recently worked as independent travel advisor with New Act Travel.

Chris Schaefer has been promoted to corporate director of restaurants for Noble House Hotels & Resorts. Prior to his promotion, he served as food and beverage director at Riviera Palm Springs, a former Noble House property.

The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln, Neb. has announced the addition of Elly Lamp as sales manager. Lamp most recently served as sales manager for John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts in Lincoln.

Jasmin Howanietz has been named director of sales and marketing for the Waldorf Astoria New York. She joined the Waldorf Astoria New York in 2005 as the assistant director of sales.

Filament Hospitality has appointed Marie-Helene Morowati general manager of V Palm Springs Hotel. She brings more than two decades of hotel experience to the position and has worked with brands including Accor, Starwood, and Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts.

Roko Palmic has been named the new director of sales and marketing for Regent Porto Montenegro. He leaves the Park Hyatt Vienna in Austria to join the team.

Renaissance Boca Raton has named Mehmet Bahtiyar general manager. He most recently served as director of operations at The Westin Tysons Corner Hotel in Virginia.
