On the Move: This Week’s Comings and Goings

AccorHotels has announced the appointment of Amir Nahai to chief executive officer group food and beverage, effective immediately. A member of AccorHotels’ executive committee, he will oversee the food and beverage business worldwide, working closely with regional chief executive offiers and global marketing teams. Nahai was a partner at Bain & Company’s New York office, where he obtained more than 15 years of experience in hospitality, among other fields.

Here’s a review of more notable job moves that recently took place:

AHC+Hospitality has expanded its marketing team with the addition of Tracy Fahselt as digital marketing manager and Carrie Kolehouse has been promoted to senior marketing manager for the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, The Peter Island Resort, Downtown Courtyard by Marriott, and JW Marriott Grand Rapids. Fahselt joins the company from JA PR Group in Grand Rapids. Kolehouse has been with the AHC+Hospitality marketing team since 2011.

Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Nico Hallwass as director of operations. He will also act as general manager in the absence of the managing director. With more than 15 years of experience, Hallwass most recently oversaw the opening of The Paul hotel in New York City as general manager.

Marco Perry has been appointed managing director of LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort. He previously worked as the general manager at Riviera Palm Springs.

Langham Place, New York, Fifth Avenue has named Richard Bussiere the hotel’s new managing director. A 35-year industry veteran, he previously served as managing director at The Langham, Boston.

Hilton Portland & Executive Tower has named Eric Walters general manager. He recently was general manager of the city-owned Hilton Vancouver Washington.

Janet Eason has been appointed vice president of marketing for Main Street Hospitality Group. Her most recent leadership role was director of marketing communications at Colonial Williamsburg Hospitality Company.

Coast Wenatchee Center Hotel has promoted Ron Warren as the director of sales. He previously served as a sales manager. Additionally, William Miller will serve as restaurant manager for River Top Bar & Grill, located within the Central Washington property. Miller began his career more than 30 years ago as a bartender before moving up the ranks.

The Setai Miami Beach has announced the appointment of Alex Furrer as general manager. Furrer has worked in management roles at the Eden au Lac in Zurich, the Palace Hotel Luzern, and the Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa in Interlaken.

Suncadia, A Destination Hotel, has named Michael Rayburn director of sales and marketing. He has directed large sales teams at five properties.
