Omni Launches New Art of Water Menus

DALLAS—With the season of leisure getaways kicking into high gear, Omni Hotels & Resorts has revamped its poolside dining options with the launch of new Art of Water menus customized to reflect local flavor. The menus are crafted to keep guests satisfied while soaking up the sun, whether they are sipping on Southern peach sangria in Virginia or enjoying baja ceviche in San Diego.

“There’s something quintessentially American about dining by the pool during summertime,” said David Morgan, vice president of food and beverage at Omni Hotels & Resorts. “These Art of Water menus are designed to enhance that pastime, as part of our continued commitment to offering guests a customized dining experience that reflects not just the location, but the season.”

Each Art of Water menu is custom-curated by the culinary teams at participating Omni properties with flavors and dishes that represent their specific style and destination. At desert paradise Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia, tacos get the Southwestern treatment with blackened fish, poblano braised pork, and carne asada among the selections; while at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas, guests can savor offerings such as pulled pork quesadillas with roasted pepper rajas, a smoked brisket sandwich with house-made pickles, and a selection of sausages like beer brats and chipotle cheddar sausages. With its prime location on Hilton Head Island on the southern coast of South Carolina, Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort finds inspiration in its seaside locale with oysters two ways and a shrimp roll with creamy dill-lemon mayo.

Equal attention is paid to warm-weather friendly sweet treats that blend whimsy with functionality. At Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, guests can enjoy Caribbean rum balls, ice cream sandwich bites, and a shooter tasting with selections that include key lime pie, piña colada, and orange creamsicle; with Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort off the coast of Florida serving up childhood favorites like ginger-Georgia peach and coconut-banana push pops. Meanwhile, frozen grapes, classic frozen candy bars, and coconut gelato offer sweet relief from the heat at the Omni Tucson National Resort in Arizona.

This same sense of fun carries over onto the kid’s menus for poolside diners under 12. Think crazy monkey sandwiches with peanut butter, marshmallow fluff, and banana at Omni Bedford Springs Resort in South Central Pennsylvania’s Cumberland Valley, customizable smoothies featuring seasonal fruit at Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, and thematically apropos offerings at Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort like peanut butter and jellyfish and ocean catch grilled fish—all served with veggie sticks.

As a poolside dining experience is not complete without poolside libations for the 21 and over set, beverages similarly complement the locale and leisure pastime. At The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C., guests can sip jalapeño watermelon margaritas and dandelion lemonade; while those to the north in Virginia at The Omni Homestead Resort can dig into “The Bucket List”—a selection of summer-centric cocktails like the Island Breeze and Rum Runner served in a take-home bucket. A list of domestic, imported and local beers, and wines-by-the-glass round out the beverage offerings.

The Art of Water menus are currently available at select Omni Hotels & Resorts from coast to coast.
