My Place Opens Its 40th Hotel in the United States

ST. GEORGE, UTAH—My Place Hotels of America has expanded the brand’s footprint in Utah with the opening of its newest location in St. George. The My Place Hotel-St. George marks America’s 40th and the state’s third My Place hotel.

Located at 1644 South 270 East near the I-15 corridor, My Place Hotel-St. George offers access to dining and retail options nearby. As the gateway to Zion National Park, St. George draws a diverse range of travelers from around the world to the Southern Utah sports mecca. The new hotel is positioned to serve St. George’s traveling families, workers, and adventurers.

My Place Hotel-St. George is independently owned by Hotel Barons STG, LLC. The property is the fourth My Place developed by Principal Engineer Craig Larsen, a Utah native who has long vacationed with his family in the Southern Utah destination. Larsen recognized a need to address an under-served niche of travelers who require the comforts of home on the road at an affordable price.

The brand’s Utah developments aren’t slowing down anytime soon. Plans are underway for a fourth My Place location in nearby Hurricane, and a fifth in Moab. While the St. George location is a four-hour drive from its open Utah counterparts in Salt Lake City, the closest My Place Hotel recently opened 90 miles away in Las Vegas.

Terry Kline, My Place EVP of Franchise Development, said that as My Place’s development map continues to fill in, leading developers like Larsen and the Hotel Barons team will continue to fuel the expansion.

All My Place Hotels offer modern amenities at an affordable price including nightly, weekly, and monthly rate options. Each extended-stay guestroom includes a My Kitchen with a two-burner cooktop, a microwave, and a full refrigerator. The property is pet friendly and will also include on-site laundry facilities, a grilling pavilion, an outdoor pool, complimentary high-speed Internet service, and a 24-hour My Store, located in the hotel lobby and stocked with an array of supplies for the guests’ convenience. The hotel also offers a Breakfast in Bed option for a minimal cost.
