Monarch Beach Reveals $40 Million Renovation

Previously known as the St. Regis Monarch Beach, the resort has been revamped into the Monarch Beach Resort, finishing its $40 million project after one year. The Monarch now displays a coastal atmosphere, complete with numerous amenities and activities.

The new design features California’s first Miraval Life in Balance Spa that includes a DryBar and a Deborah Lippmann nail suite, a transformed culinary program with five new dining concepts, an expansive new pool area with private cabanas and a new lobby lounge.

Continuing renovations after the newly refurbished 400 guestrooms, the redesign features many fresh aspects for guests and the public to enjoy. Marine activities are also available for guests to experience their own adventure.

“We are thrilled to welcome guests, members and neighbors to our thoughtfully reimagined resort that offers a perfect balance between luxury and approachability, and captures the allure of Dana Point’s majesty,” said Ian Pullan, General Manager of Monarch Beach Resort. “Expressions of our extensive transformation, anchored by the Miraval Life in Balance Spa, introduce guests to memorable experiences befitting one of the finest resorts in Southern California.”

The resort also transformed their dining experiences, offering new culinary restaurants and options, such as a pub, pool cantina, and a market for small snacks.

Miraval Group brings its spa and wellness brand to Southern California with the opening of the Miraval Life in Balance Spa, with spa memberships available for local residents. In addition, the new increased pool area now includes an adult pool, family pool, two spas, and private cabanas.
