Marriott’s Delta Hotels Aims To Double Growth With U.S. and Asia Expansion

BETHESDA, Md.–Delta Hotels by Marriott announced an aggressive growth plan that aims to double the brand’s growth in the next two years, following the full-service hotel brand’s 2015 acquisition by Marriott International. At that time, the brand was solely based in Canada with 30 properties, and has since expanded to 40 open properties, plus an additional 20 signed pipeline properties including new entries into Asia and the U.S, making Delta Hotels one of the fastest growing brands in the Marriott International portfolio.

The Delta Hotels brand encompasses a rich Canadian history, making it a key piece of Marriott International’s premium portfolio. With 20 signed hotels in the pipeline, Marriott International is poised to grow Delta’s hospitality globally to major gateway cities including Dallas, Shanghai, and Seattle. Delta Hotels will open the Shanghai property later this year, while the four-star brand opened its first U.S. property last year (Delta Hotels Orlando Lake Buena Vista). This year, the brand added Delta Hotels Baltimore Hunt Valley, Delta Hotels Baltimore Inner Harbor, Delta Hotels Chesapeake, Delta Hotels Chicago North Shore, and Delta Hotels Fargo.

“Already an award-winning brand, Delta Hotels has become a development powerhouse with new presences in the U.S. and Asia in the last year that gives guests more ways to experience this exciting brand,” said Gregory Durrer, Global Brand Leader, Delta Hotels. “Our model is simple. We know what our guests want and because of that Delta’s intuitive design and service enables guests to focus on what’s important. It is simple made perfect.”

Focusing on meaningful elements that provide its guests with a memorable and frictionless journey, Delta Hotels delivers a fresh new lodging alternative, with a clean aesthetic and a modern take on comfort. All hotels feature deluxe rooms, corner rooms, and one-bedroom suites. All Delta Hotels offer multiple restaurant options, bars, a marketplace with food available to-go, meeting and event spaces, a 24/7 fitness center with state-of-the-art cardio equipment with touch screen technology and free weights, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi.
