Marriott-Starwood Competitors Attempt to Entice Guests

    The announcement of the Marriott-Starwood merger left many guests concerned with what would become of their loyalty programs. In an effort to take advantage of guests’ apprehension, many competitors are trying to entice guests over to their properties before the year’s end. For example, Hyatt launched a Twitter campaign aimed at Starwood Preferred Guests members, offering to match the status of inbound customers, offering eight valuable suite upgrades.
