Lexington by Vantage Adds Lions Gate Hotel & Conference Center to Portfolio

The Lions Gate Hotel & Conference Center has joined Lexington by Vantage’s growing brand, Lexington Legacy. The 122-room, full-service hotel is the second property to become a Lexington Legacy Hotel this year.

Built in 1939 and located in Sacramento, Calif., the Lions Gate Hotel & Conference Center, a Lexington Legacy Hotel, blends more than 70 years of military service and embraces the creative re-use of the former Air Force Base facilities, allowing it to retain its historic ambiance while acquiring modern amenities.

“The Lions Gate Hotel & Conference Center is a very recognized and well-managed property; some may wonder why they feel the need to join an international hotel brand.,” said Bill Hanley, group president of Lexington by Vantage. “However, Lexington’s Legacy brand really provides the best of both worlds – great distribution with negotiated OTA rates combined with revenue management, marketing and training, plus the freedom to continue to run their property with their particular market niche in mind. We are not taking anything away from Lions Gate – simply raising them to a whole new level.”

Recently, the property added 70,000 square-foot, multi-million dollar conference center to its meeting facilities, bringing the total available space to 78,000 square feet. It can serve groups of 20 to 3,000 with catering and special event planning.
