La Samanna Resort Reopens in St. Martin After Renovation

NEW YORK—Located on the French side of St. Martin, La Samanna has completed the second phase of an extensive renovation project. The Orient-Express property now features two new restaurants and a revamped lobby, as well as refurbished suites and rooms.

The property’s new food & beverage offerings feature French, Mediterranean and Caribbean flavors. The redesigned main building consists of two new restaurants—Trellis, which complements French cuisine with a Cote du Rhone selection, and Interlude, a casual option for al fresco breakfast and dinner.

La Samanna’s 83 oceanview rooms and suites feature original artwork by local artists, which depict scenes or locations in St. Martin and the Caribbean. Etchings from Caribbean artist, Sir Roland Richardson, who has been the property’s resident artist for many years, hang in each room, and Richardson’s noted oil paintings adorn the walls of the property’s suites.

The three- and four-bedroom villas are entirely self-contained and private residences that offer 4,600 square feet of space including a full kitchen, dining room, indoor and outdoor living room, wrap-around terraces, and an infinity edge pool.
