FRANKFURT, Germany—Worldhotels has announced a change in its management: Robert Hornman, current chief executive officer, will leave the group this summer, handing over to Kristin Intress, who has joined Worldhotels as its new chief executive officer on March 3. Hornman will stay with the company until July 2014, assisting with the transition.
Intress is a hospitality industry expert with a broad entrepreneurial know-how. During the course of her career, she has served in multiple executive sales and marketing positions and has been a successful restaurant entrepreneur. Most recently before joining Worldhotels, she was President and Chief Executive Officer of InnLink LLC, a leading CRS provider based in Nashville. Under her leadership Innlink has developed into one of the most successful CRS providers serving more than 7,000 independent hotels worldwide.
Hornman has led Worldhotels for the past six years as its CEO. His main achievements during this tenure include the launch of Worldhotels’ new branding solution in 2010, the introduction of a new brand identity in 2012, and the creation of a global loyalty program, which will be launched in second quarter 2014. Hornman will relocate to Cape Town, South Africa, to pursue a new career as an entrepreneur, planning to provide hospitality services to the tourism industry in Sub-Saharan Africa.
