JW Marriott Opens First Resort in Panama

JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts opened the 118-room JW Marriott Panama Golf & Beach Resort, marking the brand’s first resort and first hotel in the country. The property is located within the master-planned Buenaventura beachfront community, near the town of Rio Hato, on the Pacific Coast of Panama.

“Panama remains one of the most vibrant countries for new development in all of Latin America,” said Rob Steigerwald, chief operations officer for the Southern Americas at Marriott International. “We are thrilled to finally reveal our first world class JW Marriott luxury brand hotel in the country. This beautiful resort brings the highest levels of accommodations and service to Panama and is a great addition to the brand’s growing global portfolio.”

The resort offers 118 guestrooms with private balconies or gardens, five restaurants, and 18-hole golf course, fitness center, spa, kids club, and newly built beach club with an infinity pool and waterfront butler service. The hotel also features 517 square meters of meeting space, including a grand ballroom and four smaller meeting rooms.
