JMH Development Partners with Hilton for Long Island Hotel

LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y.—New York-based developer JMH Development and Mettle Property Group have signed a franchise agreement with Hilton for the development of a new project located at 36-20 Steinway Street, Long Island City. With this agreement, the two plan to build a dual branded hotel that will include Homewood Suites by Hilton, Hilton’s upscale all-suite, extended-stay hotel brand, and a Hampton Inn by Hilton, a global mid-priced hotel that serve value-conscious and quality-driven travelers around the world.

The dual branded hotel will be designed by Gene Kaufman of Gene Kaufman Architects and will include 289 hotel rooms consisting of 187 Hampton Inn keys and 102 Homewood Suites keys. In addition, the property will offer a list of life enriching amenities including a private roof deck, expansive lobby and lobby bar, state-of-the-art fitness center, meeting rooms and more.

The new project will also feature 18,000 square feet of retail space exclusively listed with David Rosenberg of RKF, a New York based retail leasing and investment sales brokerage firm. Slated to open in 2018, upon completion, the property will provide a comfortable, value-driven stay for those visiting the area for business, leisure or travel.
