In Response to Airbnb, Hotels Innovate

    It is no secret that the hotel industry has its share of concerns about Airbnb and like-companies. But while Airbnb faces regulatory and ethical issues, it has also prompted hoteliers to respond to the competition by innovating the hotel model. Hoteliers are reacting to the consumer preferences made clear by the draw to Airbnb by providing guests with local, social experiences in hotels that feel authentic to the location in which it resides.
