NEEDHAM, MA — TripAdvisor announced a partnership with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) to include all the company’s hotel brands in the TripAdvisor instant booking marketplace. In the coming months, guests will be able to book rooms at IHG properties without leaving the TripAdvisor site or app. InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn, Kimpton, and Crowne Plaza, among other IHG brands, will be available on the platform.
IHG is the latest global hotel organization to join TripAdvisor instant booking. Other organizations on the marketplace include AccorHotels, Best Western, Hilton, Marriott, Starwood, and Wyndham Worldwide. Users on the app or site can tap or click “Book Now” to initiate an instant booking. During the process, TripAdvisor prominently features text and branding to inform users that the participating brands will handle the transaction and customer service.

IHG franchises, leases, manages, or owns nearly 5,200 hotels and 770,000 guest rooms in almost 100 countries, with nearly 1,500 hotels in its development pipeline. TripAdvisor branded sites make up the largest travel community in the world, reaching 390 million average unique monthly visitors in 49 markets worldwide. Through its subsidiaries, TripAdvisor manages and operates websites under 23 other travel media brands.
