IHG Announces Opening of Hotel Indigo – Veracruz Boca Del Rio

BOCA DEL RIO, VERACRUZ, Mexico—Hotel Indigo, IHG’s (InterContinental Hotels Group) boutique brand, announced the opening of the 106-room Hotel Indigo Veracruz – Boca del Río.

“The Hotel Indigo brand is a perfect fit for this location,” said Mary Dogan, director, Brand Management, Hotel Indigo, the Americas, IHG, in an announcement. “The hotel is a place where guests can enjoy a comfortable stay experience while being immersed in the neighborhood’s celebrated culture and history.”

Local traditions are also reflected in the hotel’s restaurant La Bamba Bistro, where chefs incorporate elements representative of the region, including seafood dishes that draw on Veracruz’s history as a fishing town.

The hotel features space-efficient guestrooms with high-definition flat-screen TVs, iHome stations, and spa-inspired showers. Hard surface flooring with area rugs create a residential feel. Guestroom furniture is tinted in shades of orange and green to mirror the local mangrove trees.

Common areas, including the restaurant, bar, swimming pool, gym, business center, valet parking, and Jamapa ballroom have free high-speed wired and wireless Internet access.

Jorge Caram Kuri, architect of the hotel and director of Gilca Construction led the hotel’s design. Interior Designer Walter Allen was responsible for the hotel’s décor. Hotel Indigo Veracruz- Boca del Rio is managed by Sebaspol Management Company under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.
