Hyatt Regency Chicago Unveils New F&B Space

CHICAGO—Hyatt Regency Chicago has introduced a new food and beverage outlet, The Living Room, open as of July 21, 2016. The new space serves as a quick breakfast stop from 7 a.m.-2 p.m., and reopens for dinner and evening drinks from 5 p.m.-11 p.m. The Living Room offers a small plates menu of elevated bar cuisine, with an emphasis on cocktails. On the second floor of the hotel’s West Tower, a full list of classic sips, stirred cocktails—the bar’s signature cocktail list, as well as a beer and wine are offered at the hotel’s new comfortable lounge.

The Living Room comes off the heels of the hotel’s announcement of an additional 12,000 square feet of new meeting and event space bringing the total meeting and event space up to 240,000 square feet. The relaxed yet sophisticated space provides guests a welcoming atmosphere to enjoy a few cocktails and small plates, and will prove particularly convenient for those looking for an afternoon or evening diversion between or after meetings.

The Living Room’s signature cocktails, the Stirred menu, features drinks including the Dockside Cooler, made with Ketel Citroen, Sauvignon Blanc, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, served with a lemon twist; Hole In One, made with Johnnie Walker Black Label, honey, unsweetened tea, and lemon juice; and more. Each cocktail on the Stirred menu is $13. Guests can pair tasty sips with a selection of small plates, including Mini Pork Belly Sliderswith smoked bourbon apple sauce ($14); Crispy Fried Mushrooms with boursin cheese, and white truffle cream sauce ($10); or Octopus Carpaccio with semi-dried tomatoes, Kalamata olives, caper berries, and rocket greens ($13). The full menu for The Living Room, created by Chef Konstantinos Chaidaropoulos of the hotel’s contemporary steakhouse Stetsons Modern Steak + Sushi, is available online.
