HRI Properties Buys DoubleTree Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS—HRI Properties, LLC (HRI) has announced it has acquired DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Minneapolis. The hotel is located at 1101 LaSalle Avenue, six blocks from HRI’s owned and managed Embassy Suites by Hilton Minneapolis Downtown opening September 2016. HRI Lodging, LLC (HRIL), a subsidiary of HRI will manage the new property.

“DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Minneapolis is an excellent fit for our portfolio,“ said Gary Gutierrez, HRIL President and HRI COO. “We are poised for success in the downtown Minneapolis market holding a majority of the all-suite product in the area and continuing our relationship with the Hilton brand—this being the 11th Hilton flagged hotel in our portfolio.”

Located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, the all-suite hotel offers 229 suites, all markedly spacious with separate bedroom and living areas. HRI plans to invest $3.5 million in renovations starting in early 2017. DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Minneapolis features a host of amenities, including Lot 57 Restaurant and Lounge, a full-service Starbucks, 24/7 fitness and business centers, an HHonors concierge level, and 24-hour complimentary text message concierge service. The hotel also has 1,162 square feet of flexible meeting space for up to 70 guests and specializes in small meetings, offering unique setups like the Merchandising Suite.

Nearby attractions in downtown Minneapolis include the city’s best dining, theaters, museums, and sports and entertainment venues. Highlights include the Nicollet Pedestrian Mall, North Loop, Eat Street, Orchestra Hall, Target Field, Target Stadium, and the US Bank Stadium. Centrally located in the business district, the hotel is four blocks from the Minneapolis Convention Center and steps away from the many Fortune 500 companies located in the city, including the Target national headquarters directly across the street.
