Hilton Reports Data Breach

Yesterday, Hilton Worldwide announced that its systems had been breached regarding customers’ credit and debit card payments. The company has since launched a global investigation into the matter.

It is unclear how many properties were impacted, but the company suggests guests who stayed at Hilton properties during certain dates in November and December 2014 and from April 21 to July 27, 2015 to check their credit card statements for signs of fraud.

This is the latest in a long string of security breaches at various hotel chains, including Trump Hotel Collection and most recently, Starwood.
