Four Seasons Hotel Beirut Donates to CHANCE

Four Seasons Hotel Beirut recently hosted an event for the CHANCE (CHildren AgaiNst CancEr) Association in Lebanon, offering the donations of 2012 and 2013, and celebrating the third year of collaboration to support children with cancer.

In its continuous commitment to building a better community, Four Seasons Hotel Beirut invited the CHANCE Association and their supporters to extend gratitude for the efforts that have been given to help cure children against cancer.

“We are very proud of our long lasting partnership with CHANCE,” says Stefan Simkovics, Four Seasons Hotel Beirut General Manager. “We are extremely honoured that our participation has helped in supporting the hard work of the great team behind CHANCE and generating understanding for this one of a kind organization and the incredible effort it puts to cure children with cancer.”

Dr. Roula Farah, president of CHANCE, thanked all the attendees in a touching speech for their support, help and contribution provided to the Association throughout the years, be it with an idea, a sale, a donation, or a minute of their time. “With this aid, CHANCE has helped fund the treatments of more than 300 children, and has covered 3000 admissions in the past year.”

For another year, guests of Four Seasons staying at the Hotel or dining at one of its restaurants will have the chance to support children in their journey against cancer through the “Be Their Chance” program, by donating one US dollar on their room bill or restaurant check.

CHANCE (CHildren AgaiNst CancEr) is a Lebanese non-profit Association active since 2002, whose mission is to help Lebanese children with cancer or blood disorders receive the best chance for cure of their disease. Unavailability of medications and difficult access to adequate medical care will compromise children’s chance to be cured. CHANCE finances chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments at St George, Hotel Dieu, University Medical Center-Rizk Hospital, Abou Jaoude and Sainte Thérèse Hospitals. The association also organizes educational, cultural and entertainment activities for people diagnosed with cancer and blood disorders and their families to improve their lives and promote cancer awareness and cancer control in Lebanon.
