First Days Inn Hotel in Saudi Arabia Officially Opens in Riyadh

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia—Wyndham Hotel Group announced the opening of the first Days Inn hotel in Saudi Arabia, the 56-room Days Hotel Olaya in Riyadh.

The hotel is the first of 10 Days Inn hotels planned in the country as part of an exclusive development agreement announced late last year with Riyada International Hotels and Resorts.

“We are extremely excited to introduce the iconic Days Inn brand to Saudi Arabia,” said Eric Danziger, Wyndham Hotel Group president and chief executive officer. “Designed to cater to the growing demand for affordable but high quality accommodation in the Kingdom, we see the introduction of Days Inn as the natural next step, having successfully established our midscale Ramada brand with Riyada International Hotels and Resorts over the last eight years.”

The hotel is spread across six floors and features standard rooms and suites, as well as meeting facilities and a restaurant.

“The opening of our first Days Inn hotel in Saudi Arabia further strengthens the long-standing partnership between Riyada and Wyndham Hotel Group,” said Muhammad Al-Amir, founder and managing director of Riyada International Hotels and Resorts and master franchisee for Ramada hotels in the Kingdom. “Both companies are well positioned to expand the brand across the country over the coming years, to the benefit of both business and leisure travellers.”

Existing Days Inn hotels in the Middle East include two hotels in Jordan and one in Bahrain.

“We are fully committed to growing our presence in the Gulf, and the opportunity within Saudi Arabia in particular is considerable,” Danziger added. “Through the established presence of Ramada, the introduction of Days Inn and the planned launch of both Super 8 and our namesake upscale Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand, we will soon have the diversity in the market to offer a solution to virtually every kind of traveller.”
