DoubleTree by Hilton Columbia Opens Refurbished Restaurant

COLUMBIA, Md.—Fifty Four Eight Five (5485) Restaurant & Bar, Doubletree by Hilton Columbia’s recently refurbished restaurant and bar featuring a local, seasonally-driven menu is now open.

“To see the vision and tireless effort of this project come to fruition is truly amazing,” says General Manager Michael Anderson. “It’s incredibly exciting for our team to serve in such a beautifully designed and functional space. We are thrilled to welcome our local community and hotel guests to 5485.”

Neutral tones and textures are complemented by pops of bright blue throughout the seating areas. Features such as the expansive wine wall turned the challenge of space division into an opportunity for a design statement. Adding drama to the space, 100 pendant fixtures are displayed throughout the space. Other design highlights include the use of dimensional reclaimed wood, graphic wall coverings, and mosaic wood tile.

Helmed by Chef Ty Porter, 5485 embodies the culinary traditions of the Chesapeake Bay and its menu brings twists to seasonal ingredients sourced from the bounty of the region’s farms and waters.
