Fifth DoubleTree by Hilton Opens In Turkey

ISTANBUL—DoubleTree by Hilton has announced the opening of its fifth hotel in Turkey, in the Avcilar district of Istanbul.

In an announcement, Rob Palleschi, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton, said, “We are thrilled to be adding yet another hotel to our already superb portfolio in Turkey. DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul – Avcilar’s tall steel structure is a striking example of Istanbul’s meteoric rise as a global center, and visitors to the city will now be able to experience the warm DoubleTree by Hilton welcome in a new prime location.”

The hotel offers 231 guestrooms and suites and is one of the tallest buildings made entirely of steel in Europe. Rooms offer flat-screen satellite TV; high-speed complimentary Wi-Fi; mini fridge; laptop safe; and in-room tea and coffee making services. The hotel also features two duplex suites, with upscale lounge areas and floor to ceiling windows overlooking Istanbul.

Dining options at the hotel include the Ganos Restaurant, which serves à la carte local Turkish cuisine, as well as international dishes. The Terrace Bar has capacity for up to 90 people to enjoy a varied menu of drinks and cocktails. In the Lobby Lounge & Bar, guests can choose from a selection of the Chef’s sandwiches, pastries and typical Turkish desserts. DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul – Avcilar also offers 24-hour room service, a fitness center, Turkish bath, Jacuzzi, indoor swimming pool, and spa with aromatherapy and reflexology treatments.

For meeting and events, the hotel presents eight meeting rooms, accommodating between ten and 750 delegates plus a multi-function ballroom for large conferences or social events.
