McLean, Va.—DoubleTree by Hilton announced the opening of a newly renovated, upscale, full-service hotel in Mexico City, just a few miles from the heart of Zocalo, the city’s center. The 96-room DoubleTree by Hilton Mexico City Airport was formerly an independent hotel and is owned and operated by Operadora de Hoteles y Restaurantes ITER, S.A. de C.V under a franchise license agreement with a subsidiary of Hilton Worldwide.
“The DoubleTree by Hilton brand continues to makes inroads across the globe as evidenced by the opening of our third Mexican hotel in one of the most important economic hubs in all of Latin America, Mexico City,” said Rob Palleschi, global head DoubleTree by Hilton, in an announcement. “Mexico is one of the top ten international destinations for travelers worldwide, many of whom already are familiar with the DoubleTree by Hilton brand. We’ll soon have another hotel in Merida, and I feel certain that our presence in Mexico will continue to grow for the foreseeable future.”
The hotel’s guestrooms feature granite bathrooms; mini fridges; complimentary wireless, high-speed internet access, work desks with ergonomic chairs; 42-inch, high-definition, LCD TVs; and MP3-compatible alarm clocks.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Mexico City Airport can accommodate business and social events, receptions, conferences, and meetings for up to 280 guests in more than 7,500 square feet of flexible meeting space. The hotel also has a 24-hour self-service business center and complimentary printing service that includes “print-from-your room” convenience. The property also includes a fitness center and offers a complimentary airport shuttle to the Benito Juarez Airport.
