Dickersbach Elected to AH&LA Technology e-Business Committee

HeadshotsThayer Lodging Group, a privately held investment company that produces strong Alpha Returns for investors in hotel real estate, announced that Mike Dickersbach, its vice president, information technology, has been elected chairperson of the AH&LA’s Technology e-Business Committee.

Serving the hospitality industry for more than a century, the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) is the sole national association representing all sectors and stakeholders in the lodging industry, including individual hotel property members, hotel companies, student and faculty members, and industry suppliers.

The Committee acts as a technology resource for AH&LA members, providing advice and guidance on hospitality technology issues — including general advice on the applicability of new and emerging technologies to the hospitality industry, and on specific regulatory issues related to or impacting hospitality technology. The chair is elected for a two-year term. Jim Lamb, chief information officer of Interstate Hotels and Resorts, was elected to the position of vice chair.

“We welcome Mike to this important role,” said Joshua Sumption, vice president of information technology and staff liaison, AH&LA. “Mike’s leadership, industry knowledge and technology experience make him an ideal selection to enhance the committee’s commitment to providing current and relevant industry education and awareness.”
