ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—Robert Festinger joins the Destination Hotels team at b2 Hotel Miami Downtown as general manager from the Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort, where he served as vice president and managing director, overseeing operations for the oceanfront resort’s 360 rooms and over 600 employees. Prior, Festinger held positions with Starwood Hotels & Resorts as director of sales and catering for the Westin and Sheraton brands. While there, he was awarded the Starwood Platinum Award in 2006.
“With Robert Festinger’s proven leadership and operational expertise, he will be a key asset to the success of b2 Hotel Miami Downtown and continued brand growth. We are thrilled to have him on board,” said Jamie Sabatier, president and chief operating officer of Destination Hotels.
The hotel will be repositioned and relaunched in December 2014 under Destination Management.
