TORONTO, Ontario—Delta Hotels and Resorts’ new Toronto property has entered its final phases of construction and remains on schedule to open at the end of November 2014. In four months, Toronto will gain a brand new four-star hotel in the heart of the city’s new South Core downtown neighborhood.
Delta Toronto is situated between two of the city’s biggest cultural and sporting event venues, The Air Canada Centre and Rogers Centre, in the newest financial district. It will be directly connected to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and Toronto’s underground PATH system, the world’s largest underground shopping complex that features almost 19 miles of shopping, services, entertainment, and allows people to navigate the city without ever going outside.
The hotel will mark the city’s first hotel built exclusively for guests in almost 20 years and will serve as the new flagship hotel for the brand, said Jean-Luc Barone, managing director, Delta Toronto.
Delta Toronto will offer 17,000 square feet of meeting and conference facilities, 4,000 square feet of outdoor event space, and health and wellness facilities, while being only minutes from the Toronto City Centre Airport and Union Station, the city’s main transit hub.
