Delaware North Acquires Sea Crest Beach Hotel

BUFFALO, N.Y.—Delaware North, one of the largest privately held global hospitality and food service companies in the world, has expanded its portfolio of resorts into Massachusetts by acquiring the Sea Crest Beach Hotel on Cape Cod.

Sea Crest Beach Hotel represents Delaware North’s first lodging acquisition and owned operation in the eastern United States and New England. This 266-room Cape Cod resort sits on a private, 700-foot-long white-sand beach, where guests can enjoy ocean-view rooms and dining. Attracting about 6 million visitors per year, Cape Cod is one of the most famous summer vacation destinations on the U.S. eastern seaboard.

The 21.6-acre property features a myriad of amenities, including an indoor and outdoor saltwater pool, poolside bar, watercraft rentals, bike rentals and 30,000 square feet of event space.

Delaware North has retained Scout Hotels, which has managed the resort for the last seven years, to continue managing the resort.

“Visiting Cape Cod is a long-standing summer tradition for so many people, so we are thrilled with the acquisition of this one-of-a-kind asset and look forward to enhancing its presence in this community in the years to come,” said Ken Leone, Jr., vice president of development for Delaware North’s parks and resorts business.

In addition, Delaware North will integrate its core business systems and processes, such as its highly regarded customer service program, GuestPath, and its environmental management program, GreenPath, into the operation.
