Crowne Plaza Opens in Costa Mesa

IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) announced the opening of the Crowne Plaza Costa Mesa Orange County, following a conversion from an independent brand, The Hotel Hanford.

“We’re pleased to bring this Crowne Plaza hotel to the heart of Costa Mesa, especially in such a convenient location for travelers,” said Gina LaBarre, vice president, Americas Brand Management, IHG. “There are several major employers in the area that will benefit from the meetings-savvy products and services that only a Crowne Plaza hotel can provide.”

The Crowne Plaza Costa Mesa Orange County features design touches by CRDS, Inc. For meetings and events, the hotel has 9,000 square feet of meeting space and nearly 20 different venue options, including both indoor and outdoor spaces, and can cater to almost any event style or size. The hotel offers a comprehensive meetings program that ensures a two-hour response guarantee, a Crowne meetings director, and a daily meetings debrief.

The Crowne Plaza Costa Mesa Orange County contains 224 guestrooms, including six suites, and offer amenities such as complimentary high-speed Internet access, in-room dining, and rainwater showers. Additionally, the hotel has hired a new Executive Chef, Ruben Gonzalez, and will be undergoing a restaurant concept and menu change in the upcoming months.

Consistent with the Crowne Plaza brand, the hotel features the Crowne Plaza Sleep Advantage, which encompasses the entire sleep experience, from training staff on how to create and maintain a restful environment to providing innovative products and services. Program components include signature bedding, guaranteed wake-up calls, designated quiet zones and aromatherapy.

The Crowne Plaza Costa Mesa Orange County is independently owned by Westport Capital Partners and Urban Common LLC and operated by Brighton Management under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.
