Coast Hotels Appoints Regional Director of Sales, Northwest

OhSEATTLE—Coast Hotels has announced the appointment of Richard Oh as the regional director of sales for the Northwest. Oh has worked with Coast Hotels for the last three years and has more than 11 years of experience in the hospitality industry. In his new position, Oh will oversee sales for Coast Bellevue Hotel, Coast Gateway Hotel and The Governor, a Coast Hotel, assisting with all marketing segments including consortia, business, leisure, and associations.

“We’re thrilled to have Richard on the Coast Hotels’ sales team because he is experienced, hardworking and goal-driven,” said Doug Rigoni, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Coast Hotels. “Oh shares Coast Hotels’ growth vision and standards of excellence. We look forward to watching him utilize his well-developed skill set to support our ‘refreshingly local’ brand in Washington.”

Despite originally being on the path to pharmacy school, Oh began working as the guest service representative for the Holiday Inn Seattle Center. Oh discovered his passion for the hospitality industry and he continued to gain experience as a general manager as well as a sales manager with Hotel Concepts, Inc. properties. Later, Oh served as the director of sales for the Warwick Seattle Hotel and most recently, as the director of sales at The Roosevelt Hotel.

In his new role as regional director of sales for Coast Hotels, Oh will learn about each of the markets and plans to enhance sales for the Washington properties. Additionally, he will strive to increase awareness for the brand and continue to expand Coast Hotels’ portfolio.

“I greatly enjoyed working with Coast Hotels during my time at The Roosevelt, and look forward to expanding my expertise of the Northwest market in my new position,” said Oh. “From my previous experience, I know Coast Hotels doesn’t produce cookie-cutter properties. This unique hospitality approach gives each hotel a voice in sales, marketing, and branding efforts which allows guests to have the ‘refreshingly local’ experience the company is known for.”
