The NYU-SCPS Preston Robert Tisch Center's Alumni Society raised over $22,000 at their annual Alumni Reception and Silent Auction, which took place on November 13 at the New York Marriott Marquis.

Auction items included: hotel stays in New York, London, Fort Lauderdale, Vermont, and Miami; Field-level tickets to a New York Mets game; One noncredit NYU-SCPS course; Nat Sherman cigars; Entry tickets to any Tough Mudder event; Tickets to New York Giants home game, including pre-game tour of the field; registration to the NYU Hospitality Conference; autographed sports memorabilia; and more.

During the reception, Neil H. Shah, president and COO of Hersha Hospitality Trust, was also presented with the Distinguished Leader Award by the alumni. The award recognized Mr. Shah's long-standing, professional contributions to the NYU-SCPS Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management and its faculty, students, and alumni.

All proceeds raised at the event will be used exclusively to support student scholarships, career development, networking events, and other alumni initiatives.
