Four Seasons Keeps Business Travelers Connected On the Go
For today's business traveler, the importance of staying connected at all times cannot be overlooked. Hotels have taken steps to ensure business guests have access to high-speed Wi-Fi, meeting facilities, and printing capabilities while staying on-property. But Four Seasons is taking connectivity to a whole new level by launching initiatives to help travelers stay connected on the go.

The global brand recently announced that guests will have complimentary Wi-Fi access in all house cars and contracted limo services at all Four Seasons locations around the world. The service is already available at the new Four Seasons Hotel Pudong, Shanghai, and will be implemented company-wide by October 1.
In an announcement, Chris Hunsberger, executive vice president, product and innovation at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, said: "As we continue to introduce new innovations, we’re taking that service approach beyond the hotel itself and into our house cars and limos, helping our guests maximize their productivity from the moment they leave the airport – and even while they move around town.”
For groups who want to keep connected while on-the-road, Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills has introduced a pilot program called Meetings on Wheels. The service includes a eight-passenger Mercedes van equipped with two plasma screens, electrical outlets, swivel chairs, and unlimited Wi-Fi for guests who want to work together while traveling. This van allows guests to prepare for business meetings, go over presentations, or just meet-up quickly while traveling back and forth from the hotel and in-town destinations. If this pilot program is successful, we can likely expect Four Seasons to introduce the Meetings on Wheels concept to other locations around the world.
And since time is of the essence to all business travelers, Four Seasons is allowing guests to check in via Skype and bypass lines at the front desk upon arrival at properties such as the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel and the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo. Guests can use the Internet video service to check in, make reservations, get recommendations, or order room service. Once that guest arrives at the hotel, the front desk employee they connected with on Skype will simply hand over the room key, making the check in process fast and easy.
These types of innovations will undoubtedly please business travelers and we imagine other hotels will begin to implement this type of on-the-go connectivity in the near future.
