Americans Sound Off on 2016 Travel Trends

    From blending business and leisure trips to the lure of a Cuba getaway, Americans have a new outlook on travel in 2016. In a new survey, Choice Hotels reveals the top 10 most interesting U.S. traveler trends in 2016. The survey found that 33 percent of travelers are not members of a travel loyalty or rewards program, yet 42 percent check for loyalty special promotions when booking a hotel stay. Respondents also revealed the three amenities they can’t live without in a hotel room: free WiFi (60 percent), cable TV (52 percent), and complimentary toiletries (28 percent).
