The Setai, Miami Beach, managed by Trevi Luxury Hospitality Group, announced the promotion of Alex S. Furrer as its new resident manager. In his new role, Furrer reports to the vice president and managing director and will provide cover in his absence. He will also play an important role as a member of the executive committee at the prestigious hotel. Additionally, he will oversee operations, as well as overview annual room renovation of the hotel’s Studio Suites and the Tower Suites.
Most recently, Furrer acted as director of rooms at The Setai, Miami Beach, where he managed daily operations, ran the hotel’s rental pool program and oversaw The Spa. His first role at The Setai, Miami Beach was senior assistant manager. Prior to moving to Miami, Furrer was the front office manager at The Eden au Lac in Zurich, Switzerland. Before joining The Eden au Lac, he oversaw as a sales manager the corporate key accounts as well as the Middle East market for all four properties within the Victoria-Jungfrau Collection, comprising The Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa, The Eden au Lac, The Bellevue Palace, and The Palace Luzern.
