Airbnb Valued at $10 Billion

    Airbnb has closed a $450+ million round of financing from a group led by private-equity firm TPG, valuing the home-sharing site at $10 billion, according to this report from the Wall Street Journal. The investor group also includes investment firm Dragoneer Investment Group, mutual fund T. Rowe Price Group Inc., and venture-capital firm Sequoia Capital, the article states. Airbnb is now valued higher than Wyndham Worldwide and Hyatt Hotels.
