HD Expo 2012: Jot | Knoll Textiles
Jot, designed by Suzanne Tick for Knoll Textiles, took home the HD Expo Excellence Award at this year's conference. It is a drapery fabric inspired by digital binary code strings reminiscent of DNA strands. An orderly matrix of small-scale dots is created by a unique process incorporating burnout and printing technologies. This pixelated drapery, which comes in four colorways, combines three light neutral ground dots conveying a sense of airy buoyancy. Two accent colors, which pop in the interior environment, give each of the colorways its personal identity. Jot creates a subtle geometric shadow play that works so well against a window or as a room divider. Jot is made of 100% polyester, and Greenguard certified.
