OneSTEP

The OneSTEP program offers housekeepers and laundry professionals tools to shorten processing and bed make-up time. The  process can save housekeeping staffs up to three minutes per room, according to the manufacturer. It uses the Room Ready for You process, which is designed to provide sheets and towels that are always clean, fresh and ready for use right out of the box. Patented EZ ID technology allows sheet sizes to be easily identified, thanks to color-coded selvage yarns running down the side of the sheet. The EZ ID color-coding is woven in the selvage and can be tucked away when the bed is made. The sheets have balanced top and bottom hems.

Learning and Travel Guides

It’s an alphabet book, map and souvenir all in one, and it’s designed using original colorful photographs and a custom map that illustrates the ABCs of the featured city. Kids can have fun connecting the images with the sites they are visiting, and at the same time practice the alphabet and learn fun facts. Meanwhile, hoteliers can offer the book as part of their guest amenities to family travelers. The guides are available for several cities, including New York City, Washington, D.C., San Diego, Philadelphia and New Orleans.

Interactive Customer Experience Solution

Given today’s shaky economy and downturn in travel, hoteliers across the country are feeling pressure to increase revenues and decrease expenditures. The Interactive Customer Experience Solution (ICE) is an in-room concierge and back-end monitoring system that organizes, tracks and measures all hotel activity at the touch of a button. ICE is a customizable, branded interface that allows guests to arrange all services via
a touchscreen or a personal laptop directly from the guestroom in real-time.

Hidden Reflections

The MB Quart Hidden Reflections Series is a 24-by-36-inch television mirror. The fine-crafted mirror features a built-in and hidden 17-inch LCD HDTV. The unit is suitable for non-custom applications such as bathrooms, foyers or entranceways. When the LCD is turned off, it shows only the mirror’s  reflections. When the LCD is activated, it transforms into a television viewing area. The unit uses premier one-way glass and a high-reflective, high-contrast multilayer substrate for a natural reflection of color and skin tones. It uses the same sound technology found in MB Quartz speakers. The speakers are discreetly incorporated into the HDTV for optimum sound reproduction.

Essential Elements

Besides a comfortable mattress, the next component to a guestroom that guests are quick to size up is the shower. While many hotels go to great lengths to create the ultimate in-room spa experience, an upgraded shower system may be all that is needed. Several decorative plumbing options are available to make renovating the hotel bath easy. The line includes low-flow showerheads and handshowers, which merge conservation with comfort. The systems use advanced technology that incorporates flow regulators as opposed to restrictors.
