Tropicana Las Vegas Names New President and COO

LAS VEGAS— Tropicana Las Vegas Inc. has appointed Daniel M. Wade President and Chief Operating Officer of the New Tropicana Las Vegas. Effective July 30, Wade will oversee all operations of the newly transformed resort and casino.
"I am thrilled to have Danny join the Tropicana Las Vegas team," said Tropicana Las Vegas Inc. Chairman and CEO Alex Yemenidjian, in an annoucement. "I have personally worked with Danny for many years and I have witnessed his extraordinary leadership first hand. He will truly be an outstanding addition to our team as we embark on the second phase of our transformation program."
A 37-year veteran and leader in the gaming industry, Wade primarily built his reputation with the MGM Grand organization where he held several leadership positions, most notably as president and chief operating officer of the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. Prior to MGM, Wade held leadership positions at the Desert Inn Hotel and Casino, at Harrah's both in Reno and in Atlantic City, and at the Maxim Hotel and Casino. Wade most recently served as chief operating officer for ELAD IDB LV LLC, where he led the design and development efforts for The Plaza Hotel Las Vegas.
In addition to being a member of the Board of Directors for Shuffle Master, Inc., Wade is a philanthropist in numerous charitable causes including the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Las Vegas.
