TMI Hospitality opens new Residence Inn by Marriott in Bismarck

8/1/2012
FARGO, N.D.—TMI Hospitality has opened North Dakota’s first Residence Inn by Marriott.

“Bismarck’s robust economy brings business and leisure travelers to the community who stay for several days or weeks, and this has created the demand for a lodging option with more amenities,” said Lauris Molbert, CEO of TMI Hospitality, in an announcement. “This is the first of several new hotels we will be opening in North Dakota, as the state continues to support our company’s growth and success as well as create the need for more rooms for guests.”

Each of the 92 suites is suitable for extended-stay guests and caters to business travelers and small families. Suites are available in studio, one- or two-bedroom configurations and include a sitting area, business desk with ergonomic chair, high-speed internet, and a kitchen. The property also features a full breakfast buffet, complimentary evening socials, swimming pool, exercise facility, outdoor patio with fireplace, meeting rooms, business center, on-site laundry, and dry cleaning service. The hotel offers daily housekeeping, complimentary grocery shopping services, same-day dry cleaning as well as 520 square feet of meeting space to accommodate small meetings and functions of up to 40 people.

The hotel will employ approximately 30 full- and part-time staff under the leadership of general manager Michelle Schepp.

TMI Hospitality owns and operates two other properties in Bismarck, the Fairfield Inn and Suites North and Fairfield Inn and Suites South, as well as three other hotels in North Dakota.
