Bicycle Street Inn & Suites To Open On Mackinac Island in 2013

 MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich.—Construction is well underway for a new hotel on one of Michigan's most popular and historic tourism destinations. The Bicycle Street Inn & Suites will open in May 2013 on Mackinac Island.
Located on Main Street in the center of downtown, Bicycle Street Inn & Suites will feature 36 air conditioned guestrooms, including 30 suites ranging up to 700 square feet. Most suites have walk-out balconies with views overlooking the Straits of Mackinac, or interior island views. The suites sleep up to six persons and offer a separate living room with sofa/sleeper, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and two flat panel televisions. Hotel guests will enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast daily.
"The main level will be an open, European market with few walls, widely spaced iron gates, and muraled ceilings replicating the feeling of being outdoors", says Melanie Libby, co-developer and general manager for Bicycle Street Inn & Suites, in an announcement. "It will be a whole new concept for Mackinac Island."
