American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation Funds New ADA Guide
4/20/2012
WASHINGTON— The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation (AH&LEF) has funded a new comprehensive guide addressing recent changes to the Accessibility Guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities (ADA). The guide helps hoteliers review their compliance obligations to determine if and what changes are necessary, including accessible use in and around a property, guestroom design, recreational facilities, auxiliary aids and services, and modification of policies and procedures.
The ADA Guide for Lodging Owners & Operators may be purchased via the Educational Institute for $49 for members and $99 for nonmembers by clicking here. AH&LA members can download a free copy via the members only section of the AH&LA Website.
AH&LEF is the not-for-profit affiliate of AH&LA and is funded solely by charitable donations from progressive hospitality leaders and companies within the industry. In 2011, AH&LEF disbursed almost $880,000 to prepare promising college students for a career in hospitality, to attract and retain talented industry professionals, and to fund valuable research for the industry. Since the Foundation’s inception, more than $15 million has been distributed through its scholarship, education, outreach, and research programs. For more information on donating, visit www.ahlef.org. All AH&LEF contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. READER COMMENTS
