BDK America is a nonprofit publisher that provides free copies of “The Teaching of Buddha” for hotels, motels, and inns to furnish their guestrooms. The books and replacement copies are free; we also pay for shipping.

Guests welcome this book of general wisdom and philosophy , and we ask hotels to encourage guests to take it home with them as a special souvenir. We are always happy to send replacement copies at no charge.

Our smaller, hardcover books (approximately 5” x 7”) are high quality examples of the bookbinders’ art, with Smyth-sewn signatures and two sewn in placeholder ribbons.
