John Volponi, Capella Hotels & Resorts
Capella Hotels and Resorts named its Capella Corporate vice president of room operations, John Volponi, as Capella Pedregal’s new general manager. John Volponi will be officially assuming General Manager responsibilities on September 1. Volponi brings twenty-four years of experience in hotel management to the position, as well as four years of managerial experience at Capella Hotels and Resorts. As vice president of room operations, Volponi supported the operations of Capella hotels worldwide strengthening their performance and thus, contributing to their success. Prior to his position at corporate headquarters, Volponi was the general manager of Capella Telluride in Colorado. From 1990-2008, Volponi managed several properties of the Orient Express Hotels.
