Last week, I had the pleasure of touring
Revel, the new Atlantic City resort and casino that is finally, officially open for business after years of development and a couple major delays.
Michael Prifti, Managing Principal at
BLT Architects, the executive architecture firm of the resort, led the tour and offered some major insight into the construction, operations, and amenities of the 6.3 million square-foot property.
While the whole tour was exciting and informative, one part really stands out in my mind as a "wow" moment. Our group got to see "the bread and butter" of Revel's guestrooms—the Sky Suites. These are the resort's version of the presidential suite, and there are two on the property, both located on the 44th floor.
You won't find these suites available for booking online, and if you have to ask the price-per-night, you probably can't afford to stay in these luxe accommodations. But if you're a high roller and can splurge on one of these rooms, you'll have a chance to enjoy a 3,800 square-foot, sky-high paradise. These posh rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, two gigantic bedrooms, two fully-appointed bathrooms with soaking tubs, a media room, dining room, living room, personal spa treatment room, and a butler's pantry. The Sky Suites are also decorated with original artwork, and the modern interior design work was done by
Floss Barber.
Needless to say, I went snap-happy with my camera. For more photos of the entire resort,
