Atlanta Hospitality Alliance Awards First Scholarship
Atlanta Hospitality Alliance, an organization for networking and professional development for Atlanta-area hotel owners, developers, operators, franchisors and professional service providers, marked a milestone by awarding its first scholarship to a deserving student.
Ashanteh Bain, a senior majoring in Hospitality Administration at Georgia State University's Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality Administration, was honored with the newly funded scholarship award.

According to Dr. Debby Cannon, Dean of the Day School of Hospitality Administration, recipients of this scholarship are chosen based on academic achievement, school and community involvement and work experience.
"AHA congratulates Ashanteh for being our first scholarship recipient," says Monty Levy, AHA president and co-founder and senior vice president for HREC Investment Advisors. "She is exactly the type of deserving hospitality industry student we envisioned helping when we established this scholarship program, and AHA feels a great deal of satisfaction for bringing the program from concept to reality through the generous support of our corporate sponsors and individual members."
Hospitality students are the future leaders of this industry, and it is thrilling to see the hard work and efforts of these students being recognized with financial support. Congratulations to Ashanteh!
